Around 550 earthquakes were detected by IMO's seismic network, a little less than the previous week. No earthquake swarms occurred. Less activity occurred off the northern coast. Similar number of earthquakes were in Bardarbunga compared to the week before and a little more activity in Öræfajökull and Katla. The largest earthquake of the week occurred on 6 March at 17:08 (UTC), M2.6, about 17 km E of Grímsey.
